Savings - Important Legal Information

Conister Trust Limited is a deposit taker licensed by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission under Section 3 of the Banking Act 1975 (as amended).

Deposits made with an Isle of Man office of Conister Trust Limited are covered by the Depositors Compensation Scheme (the "Scheme") contained in the Compensation of Depositors Regulations 2008, as amended (the "Regulations").

This Scheme applies to customers who invest in the Isle of Man, wherever they live in the world, for eligible deposits which have an original investment period of five years or less. From 1st December 2004 the Regulations allow for deposits with an original term to maturity of more than five years to be included in the Scheme. Each depositor's sterling deposits are protected as to 75% of the first £20,000 up to a maximum of £15,000, subject to the conditions set out in the Regulations. Separate deposits in the same ownership will be aggregated for compensation purposes. The Scheme is managed on behalf of the Isle of Man Government by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission.

Deposits made with offices of Conister Trust Limited in the Isle of Man are NOT covered by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme established under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, an Act of the UK Parliament.

Complaints

In the event of us being unable to settle a complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer it to the Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme (the "Scheme") for the Isle of Man.

The Scheme has been set up under Isle of Man law to provide private individuals with a free, independent service for resolving disputes with financial firms operating from the Isle of Man. Under the provisions of the Scheme, Conister Trust Limited is required to deal with your complaint within 12 weeks of being notified. However, we believe it is important to resolve any issues as quickly as possible and one of our senior managers will be asked to review your concerns at the earliest possible opportunity.
